Golf trolley

If you don't want to carry your clubs, we recommend a golf trolley. The bag can then be attached and pushed or pulled. There are variants that you pull manually and there are models with an electric drive. The latter are significantly more expensive. You can read more about this in this guide.

Gloves

When playing golf, a glove is worn on the left hand. It provides additional support. Leather or fabric gloves are common. They prevent blisters from forming, especially when practicing on the driving range - you shouldn't do without them!

Golf shoes

For beginners, sports shoes or sturdy shoes are perfectly adequate for practicing on the driving range. Later on on the course, however, golf shoes are essential. They have spikes on the soles that ensure a firmer footing and protect the floor. Due to the distances that are covered on the round, it is advisable to pay particular attention to comfort. Golf umbrella & Cloth

To protect yourself from rain, a golf umbrella is recommended. This is larger than normal umbrellas and should above all be stable. An umbrella is also good sun protection.

It is also advisable to purchase a racket cloth, which is attached to the bag and with which the rackets can be cleaned.

Golf balls

The balls are a not inconsiderable cost factor at the beginning, and they often disappear into biotopes or water hazards, never to be seen again. Therefore, it is advisable to buy used balls, such as “lake balls”, balls made from water hazards, especially at the beginning. Some clubs also offer used balls for sale. A cheap alternative at the beginning.

Golf tees

For the tee shot you need a golf tee on which the ball is placed . More on how to properly tee up, how golf tees came about and which golf tee patents exist.

Pitch tool & Ball Marker

When the ball lands on the green, it usually leaves a small indentation. This is called a pitch mark, and it is golf etiquette to repair it. This means you straighten the green by gently prying the soil up. You can do this with a golf tee, or with a so-called "pitch fork", a two-pronged metal fork that can be bought for a few euros.

When you pick up the golf ball on the green, you mark where the ball lay. You can either use a coin or a “ball marker”.

Clothing

The dress code for golf is determined by etiquette. The basic rule in Germany is: rather conservative. But this also depends on the respective club. More information about golf clothing can be found here.
