For the fifth time, professional soccer player Tony Jantschke from the Borussia Mönchengladbach club is visiting the children's ward of the Lausitzer Seenland Klinikum for Christmas. With a few large bags under their arms, soccer player Tony Jantschke and his father Sören came to the Children's ward of the Lausitzer Seenland Klinikum. Chief Physician Dr. Petra Jesche received the two and led them into the lounge where many children were already waiting excitedly. After a Christmas carol, the soccer star distributed the presents and gave the children autographs.
The children were very happy about hats, socks, footballs and other surprises. For many, however, it was even more impressive to see and get to know a real football star up close. "It's pretty cool to meet him here and ask him questions," said 12-year-old Christoph, who is a big football fan himself. "I'm really excited and he's kind of normal and gives me tips on how to behave in team sports. That's great." Petra Jesche thanked her many times, also on behalf of the children. “While we try to let the children go home over Christmas as much as possible, for some this is not possible and there will certainly be more over the holidays. With the little surprises from Tony Jantschke, we can at least give the children a little joy, even if they aren't at home for Christmas."
As ambassador of Upper Lusatia, Tony Jantschke has been committed to his homeland for many years. In addition to visiting the children's ward in the Seenland Klinikum, he and his father always run the "Tony Jantschke Soccer Camp" in the summer. From 29.05. until 01.06.2020 it is already fully booked for the coming year.
