Vienna (OTS) - Hallux valgus is one of the most common diseases of the forefoot. In the advanced stage, therapy is only possible with a foot operation. Conventional surgical methods are often associated with pain and a long regeneration process. The Viennese orthopedist Dr. Reinhard Schuh has developed a new surgical concept. In addition to pressure points in the shoes, the misalignment often leads to pain in the entire forefoot. The disease is caused by a variety of factors. Tight shoes with high heels promote hallux valgus.

A permanent correction of the hallux valgus deformity is only possible through surgical procedures.
