Land prices are exploding in Bautzen – Bautzener Bote

Land in Bautzen is getting more and more expensive. An evaluation by the real estate portal immowelt.de shows that plots of land between 300-600 m² have become very expensive. The price per square meter is currently around 145 euros. In January 2015 it was still 47 euros/m².

With the current building interest rates, many people want to build, so that there is hardly any free building space in the city of Bautzen, which is driving up property prices. In the new “Gut Stiebitz” residential area, prices start at 95 euros/m². In comparison, the floor prices for a home in Hochkirch are 20 euros/m² or Königswartha 33 euros/m². The municipalities around the district town are also in demand. Only 6 km of well-developed federal highway 96 lie between Großpostwitz and the district town. The proximity to Bautzen with its healthy economic and cultural strengths is a stable factor, so that the "Raschaer Berg" building area was sold quickly. How prices will develop depends a lot on how interest rates develop. At the same time, however, the communities also want to take the opportunity to attract new community members in the long term with new building land.
