Wandler: The IT label for shoes and bags is now launching a new product category

We can finally put on converter!

The IT label converter from Amsterdam has been providing us with the hottest accessories of the season for four years now.Every piece is named after friend: the designer inside and has a very personal and sentimental value.IT girls from Vanessa Hong to Stephanie Broek to Linda Tol are regularly seen with the pockets or in the shoes of Elza converter.Now a new product category is launching and we can finally integrate converter into our outfits, because the Capsule Collection consists of pants.

A total of six leather styles and denim are available from today.In the interview, designer Elza converter tells why she chose pants, how she integrates sustainability into her label and what the future has for converter.

Vogue spoke to designer Elza converter about the future of the label

How exciting!You will soon launch your third category.Why did you choose pants?

I think it is important for me that I do everything very intuitively. This is also the joy of having your own brand. You can feel what your own needs are. I have a passion for so many things, I had a passion for bags, and I had the feeling that it was the right moment, the right time. It was never planned that I have a shoe collection so quickly. But it just made sense. I totally love leather, so it was just logical that I would make trousers made of leather. Here in Amsterdam it is a bit fresh even in summer, so you have to wear a coat, and leather pants fits perfectly in. For me, they are simply absolute basics that belong in every wardrobe! I tried various fit and colors that my friends and I also wanted. They are my biggest inspiration. This is the reason why converter is suitable for so many different women, because you can style the shoes, the bags and now your pants as you like and make them your own.

What can we expect from the Capsule Collection?

There will be six different styles.There is something for everyone: a balloon silhouette, impact trousers, a narrow silhouette and more.When I worked on it, I thought how cool it would be to offer the same silhouettes in a denim variant.I designed everything as a leather style and then transferred it to Denim.The details are always the most important to me: I always look for the balance between architectural and round shapes.It is quite difficult to make a form look female and rounder.You want it to look beautiful on the female body, but still have the shape that you connect to the converter brand.Translating the typical features of my pockets and shoes into pants was quite exciting.I don't just want to see it as a Capsule Collection, maybe this category will remain for a while, maybe it will stay forever.
