US Open 2021: McNally/Gauff challenge Stosur/Zhang in the women's doubles final

In the women's doubles final of the US Open 2021 there will be a duel between Catherine McNally/Cori Gauff and Sam Stosur/Shuai Zhang.

After Rajeev Ram's triumph alongside Britain's Joe Salisbury, American tennis fans can also hope for a title in women's doubles. Because the two domestic hopes Catherine McNally and Cori Gauff benefited in their semi-finals in the tie-break of the first set from a surrender by their competitors Gabriela Dabrovsk/Luisa Stefani and are therefore in the final in Flushing Meadows. Stefani got stuck on the court and couldn't continue the game because of knee pain.

In the final McNally/Gauff meet Sam Stosur/Shuai Zhang. The 14th seeded duo beat Alexa Guarachi/Desirae Krawczyk 6:2 and 7:5 in their semifinals.
