Report from Afghanistan - The Taliban sit obediently next to young women who smoke shisha

They came from a wedding, at night, around nine-thirty. The mood was exuberant, Zainab Abdullahi's cousin was driving, three children next to her in the front seat, two of her sisters and a boy, one and a half years old, were sitting next to her in the back. Before the shots were fired, one of the Taliban fighters briefly shone his flashlight inside the car at the checkpoint and waved the car through. A couple of militiamen stood around on the side of the road.
