What does oversize actually mean?
The term “oversize” comes from English and means something like “oversize”.Oversize mode is therefore called all the clothes that are not closely or fitting on the body, but are deliberately too large, too far or too long. That can be XL blazers, sweaters or t -shirts, but as well as Baggy jeans or chinos.
Relaxed oversized mode is one of the most important fashion issues of the year and is style-defining for the spring/summer season 2021.The oversize trend was seen in the form of fashion with a further fit during the entire fashion weekend season in every important collection. No wonder, after all, comfort in times of #stayhome is the fashion credo of the hour.

The oversize look is particularly exciting for women because it breaks with the classic feminine silhouette. Can really wear in really everyone, no matter what body size or stature you have.Oversize parts flatter every figure and (if you want that) can also be concise in outfits. However, as with almost every fashion trend, you have to note a few things when combining.
Comfortable and pretty cool: As already mentioned, the oversize look has many advantages, which is why we also like it extremely. In principle, a lot is possible with the trend. We still have a few tips for successful styling for you:
A classic in terms of oversize styling and for all those who still have to become “warm” with the trend, the combination of an XL top, a blazer, coat, sweater or shirt, is a narrow trouser, about oneLeggings or a skinny jeans.Do you want to stage your legs particularly? Then this look is just right for you.
Conversely, if you want to stage your upper body, the styling variant is a narrow top or tight sweater plus XL pants for you.If you don't like the baggy look with a trouser sitting deep on your hip and prefer to emphasize your waist, we recommend wearing the pants with a belt high-waist.
Is currently particularly popular with fashion professionals because it looks so unintentional, the oversize style is from head to toe.So that the look does not become too expansive, single-colored tone-in-tone looks are recommended that stretch the silhouette and/or soft or flowing substances that do not apply.Accessories should be chosen carefully with this styling and do not generate too much additional volume.
The only big mistake that can be made during styling should be confused with deception.Because even with oversize variant 3 (XL meets XL) it is crucial to clearly define the silhouette. For example, you can put a narrow sweater or sweater Layern or the XL top into the waistband of the pants to define your figure for a wide trouser and a boyfriend shirt to define your figure.
The oversize look was worn in the 1920s, because after the First World War there was movement in the fashion cosmos: women finally wanted to move freely and be able to feel comfortable in their clothes.Close corsets suddenly had had its day.Wide clothes and blouses took their place. The oversize look was also important in the 70ies, 80ies and 90ies.First, far-cut hippie dresses and impact trousers were very popular, then XL blazers were added with shoulder pads and finally the baggy fashion of the hip-hop scene.
