La-lala-lala lala lala: A good 200 Klever Corona deniers sang against reality

The demonstration march on Monday evening, which was called for to take part online, was called "Evening walk with singing". Similar events with this misleading title were and are also in other cities - now also in Kleve. Behind it are the “lateral thinkers”, however organized, with many people cavorting who believe that they know more than doctors and scientists through intensive research in the social networks.

What they think they understand better about Corona than experts is not reproduced here in detail, perhaps just as an example the crazy idea that some chips are implanted in people with the vaccine. However, the panopticon of views can be summed up quite well with one of the songs that was actually heard, which was sung by a woman among the 200 or so participants near the Klever Fischmarkt: La-lala-lala lala lala.

Masks were hardly visible at all, probably a superfluous accessory from the point of view of most participants. Guitars played at the head of the procession, and many were hung with fairy lights and looked like living Christmas trees. Children brandished toy lightsabers. A child was allowed to call out, “Peace! Freedom! Save nature!”
