Both companies have caused a lot of excitement with the upcoming Louis Vuitton x Nike sneaker drop. Industry insiders are already talking about one of the biggest releases of 2022, just three days after the New Year. After all, two brands are coming together here, each with an enormous fan base. Air Force 1 high-top and low-top sneakers came together - they were already seen in summer 2021 and also walked the runway at the late designer Virgil Abloh's last runway show. He had given the special models his very own signature: brand names are provided with quotation marks and can be found, for example, on the midsole. The upper is embossed with the typical monograms of the French brand Louis Vuitton. These can also be found as highlights on the page.
The Louis Vuitton x Nike shoes are expected to be available in different colourways. There are already some pictures of high tops in white and green as well as white and black circulating on Instagram.

There is no official statement as to when the sneakers will be available. However, well-informed sources such as the Instagram account @thevuittonclub claim that the models will go on sale in January 2022 - according to current estimates probably between the middle and the end of the month. But not only the rumored price of 3,000 US dollars (equivalent to 2,650 euros) shocked some sneaker fans. As Instagram account @lvapostle explained in a comment on Instagrammer @ready2cop's post, the sneakers could only be available to regular Louis Vuitton customers who spend at least $100,000 a year on the brand. So sneakerheads who don't normally shop at Louis Vuitton would be at a disadvantage.
