Yeezys Spotted: Justin Bieber is now wearing the Yeezy Foam RNNR “Ararat” instead of his Crocs
All of us here at GQ are into fancy shoe designs. We can't get enough of the Maison Margiela x Reebok collab, we absolutely adore Saul Nash's Nike Air Max Alpha Savage, and we even (sort of) liked Balenciaga's Tyrex when it was released earlier this year.
Singer Justin Bieber was recently out and about in Los Angeles with his wife Hailey - and for once swapped his always polarizing Crocs for the ultra-futuristic Adidas Yeezy Foam RNNR "Ararat".
The Yeezy Foam “Ararat” RNNRs, which look like a pair of the more sinister animatrons from Ridley Scott's Alien , are another love-or-hate invention by Kanye West that look like they're a prototype for an unfinished sneaker.
The ultra-lightweight shoes (if you can call them that), debuted earlier this year on West and Kim Kardashian West's seven-year-old daughter North West, are made from a blend of EVA foam and sustainably harvested seaweed. This makes them some of the most advanced designs in the world. The RNNRs take on the look of a futuristic crocodile, having his own big moment among fashion journalists and the world's best-dressed men.
