Formula Linea New wheels in 27.5″, 27.5+ and 29″

With the new Formula Linea, the Italians are presenting new wheels in the currently modern wheel sizes of 27.5″, 27.5+ and 29″. The new wheel sets cover the range from marathon to enduro, with the focus on a sensible compromise between stability and weight. In addition, when designing the hub, the focus was on high durability and easy maintenance. You can choose between 27.2 mm, 30 mm and 40 mm for the inner width of the rim. The wheels are available in the new Boost standard as well as in the proven standard sizes. A front wheel is priced at €435 and a rear wheel at €485 (RRP), with the rear wheel being compatible with both Shimano and Sram XD freewheels.

When designing the new hub, Formula placed great value on durability. In addition, maintenance should be as simple as possible if it does become necessary. The so-called Wide Position Design positions the bearings far out in the hub. This should result in greater stability, since the axle can flex less - which should also benefit the service life of the bearings.

With the so-called Full Contact Technology, the bearings are better enclosed by the internal parts of the hub. On the one hand, this should ensure a longer service life for the bearings by reducing the lateral play and, on the other hand, prevent the ingress of water and dirt.
