In addition to their meanwhile more than ambitious outdoor efforts, the ZX models from Adidas particularly catch our eye. Thanks to the "A-ZX" series, which started last year with the Adidas ZX 1000 Retro and spawned many great versions of the Torsion classic, the hype for everything with a "ZX" in the name remains. (Also: Adidas Forum 84 Low: The sneaker hero from the 80s is lowered) Next, the letter “Y” and the corresponding ZX 9000 YCTN await us. Similar to what the brand with the three stripes has already done with the ZX Boat with end clothing, the DNA of high-class leather shoes is also tried to be translated into the world of technically adept sportswear - which has been quite successful.
Of course, a noble moccasin must not be stingy when it comes to high-quality materials and virtuoso workmanship. Fortunately, Adidas always had these attributes in mind and created the ZX 9000 YCTN accordingly. The upper is made of black suede, while the side stripes and other elements are made of black and cream leather and nubuck. Contrast stitching at the toe of the shoe alternates, with one shoe sporting a Z-stitch while the other uses X-stitch - to celebrate both the shoe series and the moccasin style.

Contrasting stitching can also be found on the heel. As for the sole unit, the midsole comes in a complementary shade of cream, while the torsion bar system is evident on the outsole, promising reliability in terms of cushioning. A detachable fringe collar completes the design for a modern, sporty take on a leather shoe based on a classic from the Adidas archive.
The Adidas ZX 9000 YCTN will be released on February 5th at Adidas and selected stores such as Sneakersnstuff and Solebox and will cost 160 euros.
